Type System:
Direct use - the use of tanks for use of geothermal heat for heating, baths and others.
Geothermal heat pumps - systems of heat pumps can operate the water - water, air - water or air - air. They exploit the differences in temperature between the soil and environment, providing heat and cold. The system consists of links to the underground (pipes with a fluid inside) that are buried horizontally or vertically in the ground, heat pump in winter that removes heat from the soil and concentrates it and provides it to the building and in the summer process is reversed, and a distribution system consisting of a traditional system of pipes to carry heat or cold (radiant ceilings or floors or radiators) or fan-convectors (in the case of the air systems).
Geothermal plants - use of the direct use of geothermal fluids (water or steam) to high temperatures (high temperature> 150 º C - usually linked to areas of volcanic activity) through turbines to produce electricity.
